Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan on Thursday terminated the basic membership of central leadership members who recently defected from the party.

The decision comes as a response to the departure of several prominent figures within the party.

Among those who have left the core committee WhatsApp group are Aamir Kayani, Amin Aslam, Shireen Mazari, and Asad Umar, while Fawad Chaudhary has been removed from the core committee group altogether.

To reinforce this decision, the names of these core committee members were expunged from the PTI’s official roster.

Furthermore, instructions have been issued to both the central and provincial leadership of PTI, directing them to remove individuals who have abandoned the party from various groups.

In an effort to reorganize and revitalize the party’s online presence, Bani Gala’s social media team has been given explicit instructions to update PTI’s accounts on Twitter, Instagram, Telegram, and WhatsApp.
