In an informal conversation at the Islamabad High Court on Wednesday, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan refuted claims of not having contact with President Dr Arif Alvi.

When asked by a journalist about his communication with President Alvi, Imran Khan dismissed the notion, asserting that he does indeed maintain contact with him.

Imran Khan further elaborated that, to the best of his knowledge, the bill (SC review of judgement and orders bill) would have been enacted as law even without the signs of president. Given the circumstances, he emphasized that elections were currently the only viable option and expressed the PTI’s willingness to engage in negotiations for the betterment of the country.

During his remarks, the former prime minister contended that the government and the establishment are intertwined, as the establishment effectively governs the nation. PTI chief revealed negotiations with General Bajwa, the former Chief of Army Staff, with the aim of covincing Gen Bajwa for the elections.
