Major (retd) Adil Raja has been arrested in London, it is learnt on Wednesday.
Maj (retd) Adil Farooq Raja was taken into custody by the Scotland Yard from British city Luton.
According to information, Maj (retd) Raja was summoned for questioning by the investigators for his alleged involvement in incitement to violence through YouTube and other social media platforms.
YouTube has recently banned the former military officer’s channel for “spreading misinformation” through video streaming.
Several cases have been registered against Maj (retd) Raja in Pakistan on various charges.
A military veteran of 19 years, Maj (retd) Raja has a large following on social media platforms for his support to the PTI and critical views of the armed forces.
It may be recalled that Maj (retd) Adil Raja, journalists Shaheen Sehbai, Haider Raza Mehdi and Wajahat Saeed Khan have been booked on terrorism and sedition charges.
