As the ICC World Cup 2023 is being hosted in India, an Asian country, and if we look into the matches of these two teams on Asian pitches, both sides had two fixtures.

It was semi-final of the 1987 World Cup when first clash between these cricket giants had taken place at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium and Australia clinched victory by trampling Pakistan by 18 runs. And second time the Kangaroos and Shaheen landed in Colombo, Sri Lanka in ICC World Cup 2011 and Green Shirts settled their score by defeating Australia by four wickets.
