After three successive defeats of the Pakistan team in the world cup, now their fate is again dependent on certain conditions.

After Afghanistan vanquished Pakistan in a match, if we now look at the points table, India is at the top of the list with News Zealand on second position, South Africa on third and Australia on fourth position.

Pakistan is still holding fifth position despite three consecutive defeats with Afghanistan behind them on sixth position.

In order to reach the semi-final, Pakistan can’t afford a single defeat anymore. Pakistan will have to win all the upcoming matches in the world cup. Only after that, Pakistan will have 12 points to their credit.

First, if Pakistan win all four matches and Australia lose two out of their five matches, then Pakistan will easily be playing semi-final.

But if Pakistan lose only one match, their chances will be trimmed to appear in the semi-final because England and Bangladesh will surpass Pakistan on points table after defeating them. Besides, if Pakistan lose more than one match, then Pakistan will be out of the tournament straight away.
