Nawaz seeks clear mandate, asks people to leave for polling stations

Former Prime Minister and PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif has sought clear mandate as the polling is underway across the country.

The three-time prime minister was speaking to media on Thursday after casting his vote in Lahore’s constituency of NA-128.

“For God’s sake, don’t talk about coalition government,” the PML-N supremo said.

He added that it is need of the hour to get clear majority for any party.

The former prime minister reached the polling station in NA-128 with PML-N chief organiser Maryam Nawaz. The candidate of Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP) from NA-128 Awn Chaudhry was also accompanying the PML-N leader.

The PML-N didn’t field its candidate from the constituency as part of seat adjustment with Jehangir Tareen-led IPP.

Speaking to media after casting his vote, Nawaz Sharif asked the people to leave their homes for polling stations.
