PNS Yamama inducted into Navy fleet

Fourth Offshore Patrol Vessel-PNS Yamama has been inducted into Pakistan Navy fleet.
The induction ceremony was held at Jinnah Naval Base Ormara with Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf as the chief guest.
PNS Yamama has been developed in collaboration with Damen Shipyard Romania, and is equipped with latest technology and combat capabilities.
Addressing the ceremony, the Naval Chief said a strong navy is inevitable to deal with emerging maritime challenges in the region.
He said PNS Yamama’s induction is a manifestation of Pakistan Navy’s commitment to protect maritime borders and establishing peace in international waters.
Pakistan Navy is committed to regional peace and security, including the protection of ports and CPEC.
The induction of PNS Yamama into Pakistan Navy fleet will prove to be helpful in effective fleet operations, enhanced reach on the western seaboard and promoting maritime security.

Major reshuffle in NAB

A major reshuffle has taken place in the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), following the approval of NAB chairman.
According to a notification issued by additional director, several officers have been transferred across various regional bureaus.
Among the notable transfers, Waqas Aleem, Harmoon Bhatti, Muhammad Haider Azmat, and Abdur Rehman Tayyab have been removed from NAB Rawalpindi to NAB Lahore.
Similarly, Syed Ali Abbas, Jahanzeb Mirza, Muhammad Jahanzeb and Asif Mehmood Raja have been shifted from NAB Rawalpindi to NAB Karachi.
Zeshan Andreas, Asmat Baig, Rauf Alam, and Ahsan Arshad have been posted from NAB Lahore to NAB Rawalpindi, while Muhammad Rashid Badr has been transferred to NAB Headquarters.
Other transfers included officers between NAB Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Lahore, Karachi, Rawalpindi, Balochistan, Sukkur, and NAB Headquarters.
The reshuffle reflects an administrative reorganization within the bureau to enhance operational efficiency.

NA speaker vows to take steps for welfare of overseas Pakistanis

National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz has assured to take steps for the welfare and facilitation of overseas Pakistanis.
Addressing the 1st Overseas Pakistanis Convention in Islamabad on Monday, he emphasized that there should be strict punishment for those who grab the land of overseas Pakistanis.
He said legislation in this regard can be enacted after consultations within the relevant ministries. He said the provincial governments will also be contacted on the matter.
Sardar Ayaz Sadiq said that overseas Pakistanis are the country’s ambassadors and they are excelling in different fields.

He mentioned that the remittances sent by expatriates strengthen our economy. He said that online platforms should be developed so that Pakistani expatriates are not required to visit the embassies.
Pakistan’s envoys from different countries also addressed the convention.
Addressing the convention, Minister for Overseas Pakistanis Chaudhry Salik Hussain commended the role of overseas Pakistanis for their valuable contribution in strengthening the country’s economy.

Governor Tessori, Mayor Wahab reaffirm commitment to working together for development

Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori and Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab, in a meeting held at the Governor House, reaffirmed their commitment to working together for the city’s development.
During the meeting, the two office bearers held detailed discussions on ongoing initiatives aimed at improving Karachi’s infrastructure and civic facilities. The governor lauded the mayor’s performance, stating that Wahab was “doing commendable work” and assured him of continued support from his office.
“Karachi’s development is a shared priority,” Tessori remarked, adding that every possible support will be extended to initiatives that seek to uplift the city.
Mayor Wahab, in turn, noted that his ties with the governor were rooted in mutual understanding and a shared vision for public service. “Our collective goal is the betterment of Karachi and the welfare of its citizens,” he said.
He briefed the governor on both ongoing and upcoming projects, expressing optimism about their potential impact. “Karachi needs to move forward,” he emphasised, “and for that, all institutions must come together on a single platform.”
Describing the meeting as a “positive signal” for the people of Karachi, Wahab said it underscored the seriousness of the city’s key officeholders in addressing urban challenges through unity and coordination.
